US Department of Transportation (DoT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Challenge

FAA required electronic management of documents which required migration of existing projects from the legacy environment to the Documentum Enterprise Content Management (DECM) virtual environment

Solution

Comtech provided end-to-end solution including development and enhancement of the existing system into an enterprise system that is both expandable and flexible.

Approach and Solutions

As the prime contractor, Comtech is supporting the FAA AOT-200 and various FAA Lines of Business for Application Development and Support, System Integration, System O&M, System Administration, and Data and Records Management. Comtech is establishing inter-operability with FAA core systems and migrating system capabilities to a virtualized environment

Services Offered

  • Development of computer systems in support of various lines of business (e.g., Airport International (API) and Acquisitions (AAQ), including the information analysis and business intelligence.
  • Established the Documentum Shared Services to include analysis, development, and deployment.
  • Deployed the systems in a virtual document/e-content management environment to support production customers
  • Analyzed system performance, perform system tuning, and apply application updates
  • Project and program management support to the FAA Program Manager for the Documentum Shared Services
  • Customer training both in the form of end-user training for the Documentum Applications and Custom developed Applications
