Comtech is a subcontractor to Accenture on the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Financial Management Modernization Initiative (FMMI) contract. The purpose of this vehicle is to replace and modernize USDA’s core financial management system to provide general accounting, funds management, and financial reports.
The contract includes program management, transition and migration support, application and integrator services, and hosting services. USDA’s integrated system will improve financial-management performance, align with USDA enterprise architecture and best practices, and comply with federal system standards. The system will also streamline financial-business processes across the department.
Over time, the system will support federal e-authentication requirements and a single point of validation and access for vendor data. It will also be designed to integrate with e-payroll, e-government travel, and Grants.gov systems. This program focuses on system analysis, application system configuration, and the development of interfaces to USDA enterprise legacy systems.

Comtech is a subcontractor to Northrop Grumman Corporation on the US Army Global Combat Support System (GCSS) contract. This is a cornerstone US Army logistics program that helps ensure that soldiers receive the right equipment and repair parts at the right time. Under the GCSS-Army (Field/Tactical) contract, Northrop Grumman’s Mission System sector implemented an enterprise system that provides the current status of all Army equipment and assets so that soldiers can best anticipate, allocate, and manage the flow of available resources.

Currently, New Castle County uses a client-server environment with Oracle and SQL Server databases, Unix Servers, Dell Servers, VMWare, and EMC storage. Specific skill sets required include SQL, PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Active Directory, VMWare, Juniper, and Kbox, but are not limited to these areas.
