Vienna, Va., December 2007 - Comtech LLC is part of the Verizon WITS 3 Business team which was selected by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for its Washington Interagency Telecommunications System (WITS 3) prime contract. WITS 3 is a four-year base contract with four, one-year options worth approximately $1.8 billion. It is expected to be launched in January 2008. The contract offers converged Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, voice and video teleconferencing services, and Internet access service. WITS 3 also will serve as a conduit for agencies seeking to transition to the GSA Networx program.
Comtech LLC will render services as part of the Verizon WITS 3 Business team to support nearly 100 federal agencies in the National Capital Region (NCR). We will provide professional services, including telecom expense management, network engineering, and continuity of operations planning (COOP).
