Comtech is seeking a Sales Executive to help expand our Federal Government Division. The ideal candidate is responsible for identifying, qualifying and assisting in the closing of sales applicable to the Federal Government Division. This role requires a highly resourceful and customer-oriented sales individual. The candidate must be capable of developing and maintaining customer and industry relationships in pursuit of new business and must have a history of ethical business conduct, successful pursuits, and collaboration. A current professional working knowledge of the Federal Government sector is desired but not required. The candidate must be comfortable identifying upcoming Federal opportunities using industry accepted tools and websites, and pursuing these opportunities in initial sales calls and partner discussions.
In this role, the Sales Executive will conduct market assessments to identify targeted customers that require Comtech’s products and related services. He/she must utilize all available resources, including GovWin, eBuy, FedBizOpps, etc., to identify, track, and qualify new opportunities. This will include analyzing agency opportunity forecasts and specific opportunities. He/she must also work closely with the Business Development Teams to prepare proposals and white papers, organize tech demos, and participate in direct sales activities. This will include developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers to assess their needs and create new business opportunities. This individual will coordinate major customer contacts and positioning activities, identify potential strategic teaming relationships, participate in trade shows and other marketing venues, brief senior management on overall customer and opportunity-specific strategies, research competitors and provide feedback for Comtech’s positioning, maintain opportunity-tracking information, and meet/exceed assigned sales objectives.
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Demonstrated ability to engage and successfully work with Comtech senior management.
• 4-5 years related experience
• Candidate must be an organized, aggressive, and skilled sales professional
• Candidate must possess excellent communications skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
• Candidate must demonstrate experience in supporting simple to complex opportunity identification, development and closure
